Dolmio and Uncle Ben's have warned that their pasta sauce should only be eaten 'occasionally'

Dolmio sauces and Uncle Ben's products are set to carry 'once a week' labels to warn shoppers when they are high in sugar, salt and fat.
Mars Foods, the company that makes the popular sauces, is introducing new labels on its pasta and rice products as part of a wider strategy to improve people's health.
It will divide its products into those that should be eaten occasionally and those that can be consumed everyday.
All Dolmio lasagne meal kits, lasagne sauces, oven bake kits (including macaroni and cheese, carbonara, creamy tomato) and Dolmio pesto will be labelled as 'occasional' foods, the Guardian reports.
The range of Dolmio products will contain new labelling with 'once a week' guidelines as part of a guide for shoppers to make informed nutritional choices

This will give people easy to understand nutritional labelling and help people make healthy choices, Mars Food said in a statement.
The company today announced its new global health initiative, which is said will 'create and promote healthier food choices and to encourage consumers to cook and share healthier meals with others.'
In the UK, it will revamp popular products within five years so they contain less salt, sugar and fat.
It has pledged to cut salt by an average of 20 per cent by 2021 and reduce added sugar in some sauces and light meals by 2018.
