Jennifer Shigoli ashinda tuzo ya ‘African Entrepreneurship Award 2016’



Mtanzania Jennifer Shigoli ambaye ni Mkurugenzi wa kampuni ya Malkia Investments amefanikiwa kushinda tuzo ya ujasiriamali ya ‘African Entrepreneurship Award 2016’ kwenye kipengele cha elimu.


Jennifer Shigoli is a life-long champion for girls and the environment. The 29-year-old from Tanzania left her corporate career to found Elea Reusable Sanitary Pads. The goal is simple, but impactful: provide affordable pads and keep girls in school. Elea Pads are produced in Tanzania and packaged with information on hygiene. Jennifer is “committed to help women and girls break the barriers that menstruation creates in their lives,” the commitment at the heart of Elea.

Washiriki 11 kati ya 37 wamefanikiwa kushinda tuzo hizo ambazo zimetolewa nchini Morocco wiki hii. Mshindi wa kwanza kwenye tuzo hizo hupata zawadi ya kiasi cha dola 150,000 na mshindi wa pili hupata dola 100,000 huku waliopata tuzo ya kujitolea hupewa kiasi cha dola 50,000.
